We have an exciting role on offer within our Resident and Business Support service as an Accounts Receivable Advisor. We’re looking for a proactive and driven Accounts Receivable Advisor to join our busy, high-performing team, where your work will directly support the Council’s income and the services we deliver to our community.

Responsibilities

  • As part of the Accounts Receivable team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring invoices are raised accurately and income is collected efficiently.
  • In this fast-paced environment, you’ll manage the full debt recovery cycle, from raising sales orders and issuing debtor notices to progressing cases through legal action, including bankruptcy where required.
  • You’ll bring a professional, customer-focused approach while confidently handling challenging situations and delivering results.
  • You will handle enquiries from members of the public, external partners, and colleagues, seeing each case through to resolution while maximising income collection at every opportunity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer environment
  • A proven track record in debt recovery and achieving outcomes
  • The ability to manage a varied workload and perform under pressure
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a genuine team spirit
  • Experience within an Accounts Receivable or similar financial environment is highly desirable.
