We’re looking for a part-time Pannier Market Assistant to work in our historic Pannier Market and newly refurbished Boutport Studios.

You will be an integral part of a team making sure the efficient and effective operation of the Pannier Market and Boutport Studios

You will:

  • Carry out general cleaning duties within the Market
  • Set up tables and benches in the Market and dismantle and return to stores as necessary
  • Be responsible for locking and unlocking the Market as directed
  • Carry out repair/maintenance work on Market equipment and premises, using specialist equipment
  • Carry out daily machinery and facility management checks e.g. fire alarms
  • Undertake any other similar duties as required to form a flexible work team
  • Cover staff absence as required

You will be:

  • Punctual and reliable
  • In good physical health and be able to undertake manual duties
  • Able to read schedules and plans
  • Have a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Flexible and able to work unsociable hours and split shifts
  • Able to work according to agreed processes and procedures

Shifts to be covered will include daytime, evening and weekend working. There will be a regular shift pattern with additional hours to cover colleagues’ leave etc.
