We are looking to recruit a General Operative to join our Home2Home Response team. You will assist in the delivery of our maintenance programme through the effective and coordinated support of multi skilled and general operatives in Barnstaple and the surrounding areas. This is a 37 hours per week role.
The main responsibilities of the roles are:
- Supporting the Response team in maintaining properties efficiently and effectively.
- Working alongside our team of Multi Skilled Operatives (MSO) in supporting larger work projects or those requiring more than one person.
- Assisting on site with general labouring and delivery duties, including manual handling tasks.
- Loading and unloading all debris/materials as required by the MSO from or to stores, site or place of disposal.
- Assisting in the purchasing of materials or hiring of tools or plant as instructed by the MSO.
About You
- You will be looking to work for a supportive company delivering valuable services to the local community.
- You will have a basic knowledge of the building industry with experience assisting in one or more of the following areas; brickwork / blockwork, paving, plastering / rendering, roofing, carpentry, fencing, decoration.
- You will have working knowledge of health & safety principles.
- You will work well in a team environment and be supportive of others.
- Hold a full drivers licence.
