The Role
Are you an experienced carpenter looking to make a difference within the North Devon community? North Devon Homes is seeking a carpenter to join our Multi-Skilled Operatives within our Response & Void team. You’ll deliver high-quality improvement, repair, and installation activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a full range of Repair & Maintenance to a professional standard, whilst being highly productive and working with minimum supervision.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers to deliver an efficient, customer-focused repairs service.
- Maintain excellent service standards and represent North Devon Homes professionally.
- Support continuous improvement and promote our values and culture.
- Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and operational protocols.
- Manage van stock and issued equipment effectively.
- Participate in out-of-hours service provision when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in delivering high levels of customer service.
- Competency in fitting worktops, locks & latches, fitting & repairing uPVC windows & doors; replacing fence panels, replacing floorboards; replacing timber internal & external doors & door furniture.
- City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification in carpentry or similar.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of construction activities and Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible, resilient, and committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
