Responsibilities
- To support the efficient delivery, monitoring and recovery of deposit and rent in advance payments to prevent homelessness.
- To support the delivery of other types of homelessness prevention and recovery services for people who are at risk of/ homeless.
- To implement important financial controls for the Housing Service (particularly around the payment and recovery of deposits and rent in advance).
- Process homelessness prevention cases, applications and complaints efficiently and effectively for our customers.
- Signpost people with housing issues to appropriate agencies and expert advisors.
- Assist with more complex and contentious cases, being led by specialist officers.
- Access and update customer and back-office information systems.
- Deliver a broad range of administration functions, e.g. consultations, purchasing, data collection, note and Minute taking at internal and multi agency meetings.
- Produce accurate and timely performance management information.
- Receive and deal with FOI requests, reporting back with findings within the prescribed timescale.
- Web author/liaison point for service web pages and Open Data sets.
- Cover/support the work of other case officers, when they are absent or at times of high demand.
