The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Maternity cover, temporary contract for up to 12 months. Environmental Enhancement is looking to recruit a Deputy Waste and Recycling Manager to join our busy Barnstaple-based team on a permanent contract.

You will oversee the operational services of Refuse, Recycling, Street Sweeping, and Toilet Cleaning teams. You will be managing a team of 6 staff directly and 150 indirectly. The ideal candidate will have experience and qualifications in the waste industry.

As part of your job, you will be expected to:

  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed.
  • Ensure all fleet requirements are met regarding the Council’s O licence.
  • Carry out general managerial tasks like staff appraisals and disciplinaries.
  • Have experience of working in a transport environment.
  • Provide support and cover to the Waste and Recycling Manager and Supervisor team.
  • Hold a valid LGV licence (desirable).
