Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early years of education? We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, working within our Nursery or Key Stage 1 classes. At North Denes Primary School, we are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing.
Role
- Supporting children in Nursery or KS1 with their learning and development.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and creative lessons and activities.
- Working with individuals and small groups to promote progress and achievement.
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation.
Person specification
- Has experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting.
- Is enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can work effectively as part of a team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare (required for Nursery role), Early Years, or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
