We are recruiting a Sales Engineer for our Grid Software Business Unit. This is a unique opportunity to support the Electricity, Water and Gas utilities in their digital transformation and AMI journey.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team and drive the adoption of our Grid Control applications. As a Sales Engineer, you will be a key technical advisor to our sales teams and a trusted partner to our customers. You will play a crucial role in showcasing the value of our products and solutions, addressing technical challenges, and ensuring customer success.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrations and Presentations: Deliver compelling and tailored demonstrations of our software solutions to prospective customers, highlighting key features and benefits, and addressing their specific needs and pain points. This includes tailoring presentations to different audiences (technical, business, executive).

• RFP/RFI Responses: Lead the technical response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), crafting clear, concise, and persuasive answers that showcase our technical capabilities and value proposition.

• Proof of Concepts (POCs): Develop and execute successful Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate the practical application of our solutions and validate their effectiveness in addressing customer challenges. This involves working closely with customers to define success criteria and manage the POC process.

• TLOA Support: Provide technical expertise and insights to support the TLOA (Technical Limit of Authority) process, ensuring that technical requirements and risks are clearly defined and agreed upon with a clear plan for Risk mitigation.

• Sizing and Scoping: Work with customers/partners to understand the infrastructure and requirements for projects and provide accurate sizing and scoping recommendations for our products and solutions.

• Event Participation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, engaging with potential customers, showcasing our solutions.

• Demo Environment Management: Maintain and update the demonstration environment, ensuring it is always ready to showcase the latest features and capabilities of our solutions.

• Knowledge Sharing: Proactively share your knowledge and expertise on grid simulation and resilience with your peers. Provide latest information on product features and updates, competitive landscape and industry insights. This could include creating presentations, conducting training sessions, or contributing to internal knowledge base.

• Product Features\’ Feedback: Analyze customer requirements and share feedback about product gaps with the Product Management to help improve the products\’ roadmap.

Qualifications:

• Diploma, Bachelor\’s or higher degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• You are flexible to travel 25%-30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Utility (Electricity, Water or Gas distribution) domain and concepts.

• Experience with Meter Data Management or Analytical software products.

• Knowledge of AMI and Metering concepts.

• Existing network of contacts in the energy or utility industry.

• Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and managing POCs.

• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, preferably in the energy and utility industry.
