Overview
Clerk Typist, Band 2, 15 hours per week – Join the Surgical Care Collaborative, delivering high quality, patient‑focused care across Cumbria. This role is essential for the efficient day‑to‑day delivery of the service.
Responsibilities
- Produce professional letters/documents at a typing speed of 50‑60 words per minute.
- Support the transition to a new digital dictation system, ensuring all clinical correspondence is produced in a timely manner.
- Act as the first point of contact for patients – provide a high standard of administration support, liaise with other departments and external agencies.
- Maintain a pleasant, adaptable disposition, remaining calm under pressure and managing a busy workload efficiently.
Qualifications
- GCSE (minimum C grade) and RSA level 2 standard or NVQ level 2 in Administration.
- Relevant typing experience, preferably with an administration background.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, positive team‑working approach.
