Job Overview
Band 5 Nurse – Willow C/CCU, Up to 75 hours available, Fixed term for 9 months. We are looking for experienced or newly qualified nurses who will provide high quality cardiac care in the coronary care unit and general cardiology step‑down. Opportunities exist to rotate between cardiology CCU, Willow C and the Heart Centre.
Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care for patients in all acute cardiac care areas.
- Provide the prescribed nursing care without supervision and contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice in acute cardiac areas.
- Work as part of a team to provide high quality nursing care for cardiology and medical patients, supervise healthcare assistants, junior staff and students on the ward.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
- Assist the senior nursing team within the coronary care team to care for level 2 patients.
- Analyse cardiac rhythms on telemetry systems and bedside monitors.
- Move departments upon completion of the maternity cover.
