Consultant in Renal Medicine/GIM

A new opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, dedicated team. Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Renal Medicine and General Medicine . This position will be primarily based at The Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle . The role also involves providing services at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven , requiring work across both sites. The post includes outpatient and inpatient duties, with regular commitments to in-reach into the medical admissions unit and on-call responsibilities for general medicine. Brief Duties Include Reviewing patients on the renal wards and renal units, as well as other hospital wards. Undertaking ward rounds. Performing outpatient clinics. Training and supervising staff. Participating in the on-call rota, including medical on-call duties. Reviewing patients in the Emergency Department/Acute Medical Unit as needed.
