The predicted salary is between 24000 - 33600 £ per year.
Band 3 Clinical Support Worker - Full Time - 75 hours per week available. The band 3 will be generic to cover a variety of speciality diagnostic clinics including Cardiology, respiratory, neurophysiology and phlebotomy. The post holder will be flexible to cover service need. This will include working across two sites; The community Diagnostic Centre and Workington outpatients, to deliver Outpatient care.
You will work with indirect supervision under the Registered Nurse; assisting with nursing care and providing information and assistance to the patient, their relatives and carers. You will also utilise acquired skills gained from an extended role as directed by the lead clinical nurse of the department.
Applicants will possess GCSE English & Maths or equivalent; National Care Certificate or commitment to complete as part of induction process, and an NVQ 3 in care or equivalent experience. You will also have experience of working in a customer focused / caring environment.
Main duties of the job:
- The CSW will be expected to set up/close down the various speciality clinics.
- Have extended skills e.g., venepuncture, ECG recording, basic Observations, BM monitoring, Spirometry.
The successful individual needs to be approachable, flexible & keen to learn. Have an understanding of the Trust's values & expectations & present themselves in a professional manner at all times.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Essential: GCSE English and Maths or equivalent; National Care certificate or commitment to complete as part of induction process; NVQ 3 in care (willingness to complete within one year of start date) or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Essential: Work in customer focused / caring environment.
- Desirable: Use of a computer; NHS employment.
Knowledge:
- Essential: Ability to maintain and improve knowledge, skills and competence to ensure high standards of patient care; Ability to carry out routine elements of assessment to enhance the patient/client journey, following an initial assessment by a registered practitioner; Ability to meet basic care needs of patients, washing dressing, assistance with feeding etc.; Understanding of confidentiality.
Skills and Aptitudes:
