Overview

Bank Paediatric Staff Nurse (Band 5) at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. Based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and/or West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for infants, children, and young people, in line with Trust policies and professional standards.
  • Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based, family‑centred care and meet the physical, emotional and developmental needs of children and their families.
  • Operate as a member of the ward multidisciplinary team and contribute to the smooth running of the unit as requested by the Ward Manager.
  • Be flexible and competent across multiple paediatric specialities.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with active registration.
  • Experience working in a caring environment and ability to cope with a continually changing workload.
  • Full DBS check required; costs incurred by the candidate.

Salary & Bank Hours

Salary depends on previous NHS experience. An additional 12% is paid on top of any bank hours worked in WTD pay.
