Bank Facilities Housekeeping Supervisor – Band 3
Covering Keswick, Cockermouth & Wigton sites.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Housekeeping staff in providing high‑quality, safe catering and cleanliness services across Trust premises for staff, patients and visitors.
- Promote a high standard of domestic services and in‑house catering.
- Ensure all staff work to Trust values – Kindness, Respect, Ambition & Collaboration.
- Adhere to Trust policies and procedures and attend mandatory training.
- Treat everyone with dignity and respect, supporting equality and diversity.
- Manage staff distribution across departments and sites, maintain adequate staffing levels, and adjust as necessary.
- Supervise all staff during shifts, monitor standards, demonstrate duties, train new and existing staff, handle departmental problems and complaints, motivate staff and maintain effective communication.
- Complete weekly timesheets, monitor and maintain sickness records, complete necessary paperwork and record on the ESR System.
- Adhere to Trust Infection Prevention Policies.
- Maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment; ensure equipment is in good working order, checked, maintained and recorded.
- Maintain a positive Trust image, ensure department security and prepare for the next day\’s shifts.
- Delegate daily tasks and monitor work to maintain a high cleanliness standard.
- Ensure a safe meal regeneration and delivery service operates daily.
- Maintain cleaning schedules, address problems and complaints promptly.
Working hours and flexibility
Bank hours when available Monday to Sunday. Flexible to work at and travel to different sites at short notice. Each site has a range of start and finish times, from 6:00 am earliest to 8:00 pm latest.
