North Co Recruitment are working with a leading UK retail insurer to appoint a Home Underwriting Analyst to support underwriting appetite, footprint and strategy across a Home insurance portfolio. This role plays a key part in driving GWP and loss ratio performance, combining market insight, analytics and underwriting judgement to identify emerging risks and enable controlled, profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce reporting and analysis to support delivery of the Retail Home Underwriting Appetite and Fraud Policy.
- Identify and highlight areas outside underwriting appetite, including emerging risks and loss ratio threats.
- Provide insight into current and emerging risks across fraud, climate, cyber and technology trends.
- Identify risks and opportunities within underwriting and fraud segments, partnering with stakeholders to drive timely action.
- Support protection of Retail Home GWP, volume and loss ratio targets through data-led insight and recommendations.
Experience required:
- Experience within underwriting, with a good understanding of the UK Home insurance market and key performance drivers.
- Experience using SQL and/or Python.
- Curious, motivated and committed to continuous learning and development.
Salary: 55k base, plus bonus & benefits.
Location: Hybrid working.
