What you'll do

  • Own the Product Approval Process, delivering independent second-line risk opinions across pricing, claims and portfolio decisions.
  • Lead independent risk reviews of pricing, claims and portfolio management to challenge and inform business strategy.
  • Present formal risk opinions to senior leadership on major pricing and claims-related projects.
  • Shape underwriting and reinsurance policy across the business.
  • Drive the ongoing implementation of the Risk Management Framework, keeping the organisation within its risk appetite.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance and senior stakeholders to embed risk thinking into strategic planning.

What we're looking for

  • Proven expertise as a Risk Pricing Specialist, ideally within the UK retail insurance market.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and influence key relationships.
  • Confidence engaging with Executives, Senior Management and regulators.
  • Deep product and industry knowledge, underpinned by a solid understanding of the regulatory framework.
  • Strong business acumen and a self-motivated approach to work.
  • Ability to perform under time pressure without compromising on quality.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hybrid working applies, with a mix of home and office-based collaboration.

If you're looking for a step up from pricing into strategic risk leadership, with genuine influence over underwriting policy and direct exposure to Executives and regulators, we'd be keen to speak.
