North Co Recruitment are working with a leading personal lines insurer to appoint a Principal Pricing Analyst into their Pricing and Analytics function. This is a function in genuine growth mode - new strategy, new tooling, real investment in headcount and capability - and a hire where you'll have meaningful influence over how pricing is done, not just maintain what's already there.

What you'll do:

  • Own rate proposals end-to-end - from analysis of mix, demand and loss ratio trends through to implementation - and be accountable for the performance they deliver.
  • Shape pricing strategy with direct input from competitor and market intelligence, rather than simply executing decisions made above you.
  • Lead on new product, deal and offer evaluation, working cross-functionally to bring commercial ideas to life.
  • Drive fair value principles through every pricing decision, with a focus on outcomes for existing customers as much as new business.
  • Present complex analysis to senior stakeholders in a way that lands commercially and drives buy-in.
  • Help build a high-performing team around you, supporting and developing junior analysts as the function grows.

What we're looking for:

  • Solid insurance pricing experience, ideally in personal lines or retail.
  • Degree (2:1 or above) in a numerate discipline.
  • Proficiency in R, Python or similar, with strong statistical modelling skills.
  • The ability to turn analytical output into clear commercial recommendations - and to make that case in a room.
  • Confident stakeholder management, with experience influencing at a senior level.
  • A collaborative mindset and the credibility to mentor others in a growing team.

Hybrid working applies, with a mix of home and office-based collaboration. If you're looking for a principal-level pricing role where the function is genuinely evolving and your work will shape it, we'd be keen to speak.

Salary: £70,000-80,000 base, plus discretionary bonus

Location: Hybrid, Manchester Based.

Please note, the client is unable to offer sponsorship for this opportunity.
