Description Of Work

This Registered Nurse position is responsible for providing inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization, and medical detoxification for individuals with substance use and other co‑occurring psychiatric diagnoses. The RN develops nursing care plans based on diagnosis and identified patient problems, and independently carries out the nursing process. Direct patient care includes monitoring physical status, vital signs, triage assessments, and medication administration. The RN collaborates with the Treatment Team to address patient needs and treatment responses.

  • Knowledge of medications and their physiological effects.
  • Communicate information concisely and descriptively verbally, written, or by demonstration.
  • Appropriately respond to emergency situations.

Recruitment Range $58,898.00 – $88,348.00

Sign‑On Bonus A $10,000 sign‑on bonus may be offered to the successful applicant(s) contingent on budget approval. Eligibility requires working 30‑40 hours per week. Employees working less than 40 hours receive a prorated rate.

Shift Premiums for 12‑Hour Shifts

  • Evenings/Night (6:45 pm‑7:15 am): Monday‑Friday 20%, Saturday and Sunday 30%

About The Facility

The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: Woodside Treatment Center and Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of North Carolina.
