We are looking for a polished and professional dental receptionist who takes pride in their appearance, their organisation, and the details that make a real difference to patients. This is a key front-of-house role where high standards, calmness, and attention to detail matter just as much as friendliness. If you are someone who can put people at ease quickly while also keeping everything immaculate and running smoothly, we would love to hear from you.

What we offer:

  • A calm, supportive team environment with no evenings or weekends
  • Friday afternoons off to enjoy a longer weekend
  • Generous holiday allowance (28 days, plus an extra week after your first year)
  • A Christmas shutdown period to enjoy with loved ones
  • Funded training opportunities (in-house and external)
  • An annual practice 'Growth Day' focused on team wellbeing
  • Life insurance, private GP access, and mental health support after probation
  • Pension scheme
  • Free parking

The kind of person who will thrive with us:

  • You understand that first impressions matter and take personal pride in being well-presented, organised, and thorough in everything you do.
  • You don’t cut corners — whether it’s greeting a patient, cleaning a space, or double-checking an appointment booking, you care about getting it right.
  • You are naturally kind, friendly, and conscientious, with a polished and professional manner.
  • You enjoy getting to know people, making them feel welcome, and building trust quickly.
  • Calm under pressure, you take feedback well, adapt easily, and focus on doing your best for patients and the team.
  • You’re mature, honest, and responsible, able to admit mistakes and learn from them.
  • Driven and efficient, you like to stay organised, retain information, and contribute ideas to keep improving.

In short, you are:

  • Polished, professional, and consistently well-presented
  • Conscientious, thorough, and proud of high standards
  • Organised and attentive to detail, with a focus on accuracy
  • Kind, friendly, and able to put people at ease
  • Honest, mature, and willing to learn
  • Responsible, proactive, and a genuine team player

Your role will include:

  • Delivering a first-class patient experience from initial contact to follow-up
  • Answering calls and emails promptly and professionally
  • Taking ownership of keeping reception and patient areas immaculately clean and well-presented at all times, as part of our five-star environment
  • Booking appointments accurately and managing the diary efficiently
  • Handling payments in person and over the phone
  • Assisting patients with paperwork and providing support when needed
  • Liaising with dental labs and tracking referrals
  • Following up with patients after consultations to ensure satisfaction
  • Supporting the clinical and management team to ensure a smooth and seamless patient journey
  • Completing required training such as Emergency First Aid and CPR

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills and a professional, polished presentation
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and in person)
  • Strong IT and organisational skills
  • Ability to stay calm, friendly, and efficient under pressure
  • Hospitality/reception experience is highly valued; dental experience is helpful but not essential
