We are looking for an enthusiastic person who would like to join our friendly and hardworking team as School Counsellor/Wellbeing Support. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a capable and nurturing counsellor who is able to provide high quality, valuable one-to-one counselling to our pupils and contribute to their continued development.
The Opportunity
- Lead on all counselling services to pupils provided by the school.
- Provide independent and confidential counselling service to pupils through individual sessions.
- Promote a caring and supportive environment, support and advise vulnerable children and their families.
- Promote mental and emotional health.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a Level 3 or 4 qualification in counselling or Psychotherapy.
- Is confident and resilient, patient and nurturing, and wants to help us to support our pupils to thrive and develop into successful young people.
- Is interested in playing an active role in safeguarding children and adhering to our policies.
- Can act on their own initiative.
- Is motivated, passionate, and reflective about their work.
- Demonstrates an understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.
