Overview
We are pleased to offer a 12 month, fixed term Senior Clinical Fellow Radiology with special interest in Uro-radiology at NBT. The successful candidate will join the team of Diagnostic Radiology Consultants providing imaging for patients. NBT is a tertiary urology centre providing a wide range of urological imaging techniques to support this specialist service. North Bristol NHS Trust provides a comprehensive 24/7 on call service and is a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre. The post-holder is also expected to provide cover for acute imaging both in and out-of-hours under the supervision of the consultant body.

Main duties and responsibilities
- The role is for a post-CCT or equivalent radiologist with developing sub-specialty interest in Uro-radiology/imaging.
- Support the applicant to gain learning objectives including:
- Higher trainee experience in all aspects of Urology Imaging including interventional procedures and MDTs.
- Experience of acute and emergency neuro and body radiology/imaging.
- Active involvement with departmental audit, research or quality improvement projects.
- Attain a reporting and intervention log-book to support future radiology consultant posts.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of a range of urology MDTs (the attending consultant will support meeting preparation and meeting conduct).
- Report and verify general and urology cross-sectional reports within competence and confidence limits with active consultant support. Reporting goals including independent first reporting to be discussed at the start of the post.
- Report allocated plain films from the Emergency Department.
- Be proactive in supporting junior registrar colleagues in uro and general imaging teaching.
- Be actively engaged with departmental clinical governance, REALM and audit meetings.
- Be proactive in learning and carrying out fluoroscopic examinations to support colleagues with difficult clinical questions.
- Help with urology examination reporting and providing on-site support and cover for adverse contrast reactions during diagnostic imaging procedures at Cossham hospital 1 day a week.
