Job overview: NBT Imaging Department is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated radiographers to join their multi-disciplinary IR team. Applicants must have experience within Interventional Radiology / Cardiology. An experience of cross-sectional imaging would be an advantage, together with excellent communication and computer skills. You must hold the Diploma of the Society of Radiographers DCR(R) or BSc Radiography or equivalent and have a current Health Professions Council (HCPC) registration.

The Interventional Radiology department consists of six labs - consisting of single / bi-plane and hybrid systems. In addition to this there are two multipurpose fluoroscopy rooms, mobile C-arm Vascular theatre and Endoscopy activity. You will be required to participate in all rooms, covering a range of procedures including cardiac, neuro and peripheral work. There will also be a requirement to rotate to the Hybrid lab within the Bristol Children's Hospital.

The department is open 8:00am – 8:00pm Monday to Friday for elective activity. Out of hours emergency work is covered with a mixture of on call duties, late shifts, night shifts and weekend work, covering IR and Neuro procedures. The department offers opportunity for extended roles for radiographers. Currently there are radiographers performing nephrostomy exchanges, spinal injections, EVAR follow up service, cystograms, barium studies and Hysterosalpingograms.
