Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for a fixed term, secondment as the Highly Specialist Pharmacist for Technical Services and Haematology at NBT.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day clinical pharmacy services to the haematology directorate including outpatients, inpatients, and the chemotherapy day unit.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team contributing to teaching, guideline development, and clinical audits.
- Support the Principal Pharmacist in the leadership of the Technical Services team ensuring safe and efficient service delivery.
- Support regional and national workstreams including assurance of aseptic preparation of medicines audit and aseptic services transformation.
- Possibility to undertake non-medical prescribing clinics.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within Technical Services and haematology or oncology.
- Completed the clinical diploma and a commitment to continuing professional development.
- Qualified non-medical prescriber would be an advantage but is not essential.
