Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for a fixed term, secondment as the Highly Specialist Pharmacist for Technical Services and Haematology at NBT.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day clinical pharmacy services to the haematology directorate including outpatients, inpatients, and the chemotherapy day unit.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team contributing to teaching, guideline development, and clinical audits.
  • Support the Principal Pharmacist in the leadership of the Technical Services team ensuring safe and efficient service delivery.
  • Support regional and national workstreams including assurance of aseptic preparation of medicines audit and aseptic services transformation.
  • Possibility to undertake non-medical prescribing clinics.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within Technical Services and haematology or oncology.
  • Completed the clinical diploma and a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Qualified non-medical prescriber would be an advantage but is not essential.
