Overview
The Interventional Radiology department consists of six labs - single / bi-plane and hybrid systems. There are also two multipurpose fluoroscopy rooms, a mobile C-arm, vascular theatre, and endoscopy activity. The department works from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Friday for elective activity and covers out‑of‑hours emergency work with on‑call duties, late shifts, night shifts and weekend work. A hybrid lab is located in the Bristol Children's Hospital.
Responsibilities
You will participate in all rooms, covering cardiac, neuro and peripheral procedures. Rotations include the Hybrid lab and out‑of‑hours emergency work covering IR and neuro procedures. The department offers opportunities for extended roles, including nephrostomy exchanges, spinal injections, EVAR follow‑up, cystograms, barium studies and hysterosalpingograms.
Qualifications
Applicants must have experience within Interventional Radiology or Cardiology. An experience of cross‑sectional imaging is an advantage, together with excellent communication and computer skills. You must hold the Diploma of the Society of Radiographers DCR(R) or a BSc Radiography (or equivalent) and have a current Health Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
