North Beverley Medical Centre is looking for a GP Partner to join our friendly, well-established practice. We care for approximately 6,800 patients, a size that allows real continuity of care while giving us the depth of team to share the load.
Located in a modern purpose built building with easy access and parking facilities.
We're looking for a colleague who wants to help shape the future of the practice.

Main duties of the job
The role
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care as part of a supportive team

- Lead on key areas of practice development, including long-term conditions and education

About us
We're a Hull York Medical School (HYMS) accredited practice, currently we do not have Medical students in place but you'll have the chance to teach and inspire the next generation of doctors as much or as little as you wish.
You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary clinical team made up of:
- GP Partners and Salaried GPs
- Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- Paramedics
- Clinical Pharmacy team
- Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants
- Care Navigators
We work on SystmOne and are part of Beverley PCN, collaborating with neighbouring practices to deliver joined-up care for our community.
About you
- A fully qualified GP on the GMC GP Register, with MRCGP or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the UK and on the NHS Performers List or eligible to join it
- Committed to high standards of patient care and clinical governance
- A team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
Newly qualified GPs and those stepping up from a salaried or locum role are very welcome to apply.
Job responsibilities
The Role includes
- To take clinical responsibility for registered patients and maintain appropriate records of treatment given and NHS services provided
- Undertake a variety of consultations including face to face, telephone triage, telephone consultations and home visits as well as participating in the on call Rota Ensure appropriate referrals are made in a timely and efficient manner, optimising the use of Choose and Book to facilitate patient choice and access
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems; assessing the health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards; ensuring accurate notes of all patient contact and consultations, in line with any IM&T protocols
- Prescribe safe and effective medicines management which conforms to CCG formulary, NICE guidance and DH directives operating safe management and regular review for all patients receiving repeat prescriptions
About you

- Interested in teaching and supporting learners - experience is welcome but not essential
