North Bay Group is seeking an experienced and driven Turnaround / Peripatetic Manager to support and improve performance across our portfolio of Nursing and Residential Homes throughout Yorkshire, the North West & surrounding areas in the North of England. This is a multi-site leadership role suited to a strong Home Manager with a proven track record of successfully improving care standards, increasing occupancy, enhancing operational performance, and achieving positive CQC outcomes. You will play a key role in supporting established homes, stepping into management positions where required and working closely with Home Managers and operational teams to drive continuous improvement and deliver outstanding resident care. Responsibilities
- Provide interim Home Manager support during periods of recruitment, annual leave, sickness, or operational transition.
- Support homes in improving and sustaining positive CQC ratings and operational standards.
- Work closely with Home Managers to identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans.
- Support homes with audits, compliance, budgeting, occupancy growth, and reducing agency usage.
- Ensure high standards of clinical care and resident wellbeing are consistently maintained.
- Build strong relationships with Home Managers, staff teams, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Support teams through change management and performance improvement initiatives.
- Promote a positive culture focused on quality care, accountability, and continuous development.
Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Nursing Home Manager is essential.
- Proven track record of successfully improving care home performance and sustaining improvements.
- Experience achieving and improving CQC ratings.
- Strong operational, compliance, and people management skills.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Based within Yorkshire or the North West and willing to travel extensively across the group.
Preferred Skills
- Qualified Nurse (RGN/RMN) desirable but not essential if experienced in nursing homes.
