Temporary until 26th August 2027. We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

You will be responsible for the delivery of effective teaching services to children and young people attending Auchenharvie Academy. The start date is August 2026. Current Probationers can apply subject to achieving the standard for full GTCS registration.

References

As part of the selection process you must provide ONE completed reference alongside your application form. References will be considered together with your application. Those who do not submit a reference in time may be placed at a disadvantage, as additional points can be added to the score if a satisfactory reference is received (0 points for no reference, maximum 6 points for a very strong reference). The second referee will be contacted by the council if you are the preferred candidate. It is your responsibility to obtain and forward the completed reference to the relevant contact before the closing date.

PVG (Children)

This role is Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Applicants barred from working with children are prohibited from applying. Preferred candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment confirmation. Successful candidates will be expected to cover the cost of the check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted from salary after commencement.
