We are seeking a motivated and skilled social worker to take on the Supervising Officer role within the Drug Treatment and Testing Order (DTTO) team. The service is part of Ayrshire’s Partnership Delivery Team (PDT) who are based in Irvine but work on a Pan-Ayrshire basis primarily servicing Kilmarnock and Ayr Sheriff Courts.

Some of the key responsibilities of the supervising officer include:

  • Managing a caseload of individuals subject to DTTO’s
  • Undertaking comprehensive suitability assessments
  • Supporting with the delivery of recovery-based interventions
  • Preparing regular Court reviews and attending hearings to participate in proceedings

The postholder will be required to work collaboratively with partner agencies including addiction, health, housing, and third sector agencies. You will be part of a small yet motivated and effective team who deliver intensive supports to individuals subject to this Order type with the goal of reducing drug use and offending whilst helping to equip individuals with the tools necessary to maintain change and move on to more positive destinations.
