Temporary for 12 months. We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

As part of North Ayrshire Council's Modern Apprentice Recruitment Process, if, following interview, you are chosen as a Preferred Candidate, you must complete a 1-week pre-employment Course with one of our Employability Partners, before being issued with a Conditional Offer of Employment.

The qualification to be achieved on completion of the Modern Apprenticeship is SCQF5. Modern Apprenticeship posts are open to all North Ayrshire Residents aged 16‑19 years old at commencement of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to various teams across our Business Support section.
  • Duties will include general admin tasks such as typing, photocopying, mail duties and data processing.
  • Business Support handles administrative tasks for a wide variety of services across NAC, therefore the successful candidate will gain experience on multiple systems and platforms during their training.

Qualifications:

  • SCQF5 (to be achieved upon completion of the Modern Apprenticeship).
  • Age 16‑19 years old at commencement of employment (North Ayrshire Residents).
