An opportunity has arisen within the Service Access Team based in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire, for a part-time (job share) Social Work Assistant. The successful candidate will become part of an exciting fast-paced team carrying out initial assessments for people across all age groups within the Garnock Valley and North Coast areas not already involved with social work.
This is an early intervention team, listening to and supporting people in order to assess their needs and signpost to the most appropriate resources within the community/family and statutory services. The successful candidate will work alongside another Social Work Assistant and Social Workers and be supported by the Team Manager.
The working hours will be 2 days one week and 3 the following week, fulfilling 35 hours fortnightly.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children or protected adults.
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by North Ayrshire Council.
Agile – 100% of time spent working agile (flexibly) and interacting with others. Able to work at home, office or multiple locations. May be required to attend the office on set days/rota basis as the role requires.
