This post is based within our Education Directorate. As part of the management team of Brodick Primary School, you will lead, manage and give strategic direction within an allocated area of responsibility.
We invite you to come and join the teaching team of the 6 Arran Schools: Brodick, Corrie, Pirnmill, Shiskine, Kilmory and Whiting Bay Schools. Working on the island of Arran is more than a job. It's about being part of a team that puts children and their families at the heart of everything we do. An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Principal Teacher, 1.0FTE, based across the 6 schools of Brodick, Corrie, Pirnmill, Shiskine, Kilmory and Whiting Bay Schools. This is dependent on the needs of our school communities. The Isle of Arran offers a unique lifestyle.

Your second referee will be contacted by North Ayrshire Council if you are the preferred candidate for the post.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by North Ayrshire Council. Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted from your salary following commencement of employment.
