A fantastic opportunity to manage a diverse commercial property portfolio with North Ayrshire Council. North Ayrshire Council is seeking a proactive and skilled Estates Manager to join our dedicated Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property professional to contribute to a progressive local authority and take a leading role in managing our wide and varied portfolio of Commercial assets, including:

  • Office accommodation
  • Industrial units
  • Retail properties
  • Specialist and Operational assets

About the role: This is a dynamic and rewarding position where every day brings something different. You will play a key role in ensuring our estate is effectively managed, strategically developed, and utilised to support service delivery while generating sustainable income for the Council. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Asset valuations across a diverse commercial estate
  • Leasing and letting of commercial property
  • Acquisitions and disposals aligned with Council priorities
  • Providing expert estates and property advice to internal stakeholders
  • Supporting wider strategic asset management and transformation initiatives
  • Leadership and management of the Estates Team

About you: We’re looking for a member of the RICS and Registered Valuer, someone who brings:

  • Experience in estates or commercial property management
  • Team working and leadership skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach
  • The ability to manage a varied and busy workload while working collaboratively with services
