An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Children and Families Irvine Locality team based in Greenwood Academy. In this role, you would be working alongside other professionals to create multi-agency care plans providing early, preventative, statutory, and child protection interventions to children and families in our area. The team is very passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people, practising in an innovative way, and we are looking for another member of staff to complement the existing service.

Social work within an educational setting involves embedding professionals within the school to provide tailored, early-intervention support for pupils, families, and staff. We help address educational, mental health, and social challenges such as poverty, abuse, and attendance issues to improve child outcomes and bridge home-school gaps. We also help teachers understand social work duties, ensuring a holistic approach to pupils' well-being. We are committed to strengths-based and innovative practice. We are a supportive team and we work hard to embed children and young person-focused frameworks such as The Promise and Signs of Safety.

Reporting to the team manager, you will join a group of highly trained and enthusiastic individuals who work with our most vulnerable children and young people. The wider Partnership is heavily invested in the development of the community and staff, therefore this is a great opportunity to come and work in North Ayrshire.

Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (Β£59 or Β£18), which will be deducted from your salary following commencement of employment.
