The predicted salary is between 13.52 - 13.52 £ per hour.

Temporary for 26 weeks. Interviews to be held Tuesday 15th September. We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

North Ayrshire Council's Skills for Life programme is funded by Scottish Government and aims to support parents to gain training, skills and experience. This post is within Facilities Management's Catering Team and located in the Tournament Cafe in Eglinton Park.

The Skills for Life programme offers:

  • 26 week, mentored placement
  • 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm
  • Paid at the Real Living Wage, £13.52 ph

Eligibility
To be considered for the post you must be an unemployed parent living in North Ayrshire, with a dependent child(ren) living with you. You will not be eligible if you have participated in this programme, PEP or Step Into previously.

Interviews
Interviews will be held at the Parent Hub in Ardrossan on Tuesday 15th September. Interview slots will be allocated at the Information Sessions listed above.

Registration
To participate in the Skills for Life programme, you must be registered with the We Work for Families project. This ensures you meet the eligibility criteria prior to employment and have the relevant ID required for the post.

ID Requirements
We would require:

  • Passport and 2 official letters with your current address
  • Full birth certificate along with proof of NI Number and 2 official letters with your current address
