About the role:
Accountable to the Regional Operations Manager, the Site Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the fuel farm and refuelling services at the airport, whilst adhering to industry and North Air standards and policies.
As Site Manager the post holder will implement, achieve and deliver business strategy and objectives to meet customer expectations in line with our Company Values and within set budgets.
Another key area of responsibility is managing the Health and Safety of the Fuel Farm and all North Air employees on site.
They have direct line management responsibility for managing 17 staff including a Supervisor and an Operations Assistant and must be able to manage and maintain Key Relationships with 3rd parties on the airfield.
While the role is Monday to Friday there is an expectation that the Site Manager will be available out of hours for emergency situations and will travel to Inverness regularly.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years operational experience in a management or supervisory role in Distribution, Aviation or a related business
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
- Strong leader and ability to motivate a team.
- Good understanding of budgets and cost control
- Good common sense and practical problem solving
- Ability to communicate and engage effectively with all stakeholders
Desirable
- Previous Aviation Refuelling Experience
- Previous Airfield experience
- HGV Driving license.
