Norse Group's Consulting services is a national, award-winning property consultancy delivering high profile buildings to a range of public and private sector clients across the UK. Our multi-disciplined teams provide a number of property services to our clients, undertaking a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, and educational of varying size and complexity, resulting in innovative, sustainable and commercially viable delivery.

We are looking for an experienced Landscape Architect to join our team. The role requires a good understanding of engineering and design practices relevant to a design discipline, including appropriate CAD skills, written and verbal communication skills, and an understanding of risk management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the delivery of landscape design services that meet client requirements.
  • Provide landscape design services including the presentation of feasibility studies, sketch proposals, scheme and detailed design information, production drawings and specifications, tendering, and provision of contract management services in relation to design projects.
  • Provide design solutions to problems, promoting and maintaining design quality and innovation, and ensure all designs are subject to design review.
  • Work with other discipline teams on medium to large, complex and non-complex projects and support the preparation of tender submissions.
  • Develop, maintain and use relevant design systems.
  • Programme and resource plan project work within determined financial budgets and fee/cost targets, and plan and monitor the time and profit/loss associated with projects to ensure that the services are run as efficiently as possible.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, budget and resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with Clients' Standing Orders, Codes of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
  • Identify new business opportunities and bring these to the attention of senior management.
  • Fee earning at 90% and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
  • This role requires travel to other offices and sites as required.
  • Carry out other duties commensurate with your grade as directed by your line manager.
  • Embrace and actively support the Norse Group values.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Professional membership of Institute of Landscape Architects.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Landscape Architecture related discipline.
  • Holds a current CSCS site card or is prepared to immediately attain.
  • Experience in a similar or related role.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Familiar with Construction H&S Legislation and associated Risks and Hazards.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and REVIT.
