Norse Groups Support Services Division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join the Procurement team on a full time, permanent basis, this will be based at our Head Office, Unity Place.
As the Senior Buyer, you will be working closely with Alliance Norse to manage the supply chain to undertake activities such as analysis, sourcing, tendering, contract implementation and development. Focusing on the achievement of optimum value delivery and the development of supplier and stakeholder relationships. Managing procurements from concept to award.
The role:
- To develop and implement Norse Group sourcing and procurement category plans with the inclusion of Alliance Norse.
- Goals and objectives to deliver value leadership, innovation, service excellence with process and product improvement.
- To run and manage full public sector tendering processes via Find a Tender Service (FTS).
- Ensure spend and procurement processes are compliant with the Procurement Act 2023.
- Supplier engagement; selection, evaluation, contracting and ongoing management.
- Implementation of initiatives, through effective program and project management.
- Provide regular market analysis for key spend areas, benchmark data and supplier evaluation, to support procurement planning and risk management.
- Focus and presence balanced between Procurement Team and Alliance Norse (Buxton) to ensure effective integration, delivery and pro-active development of stakeholder relationships.
- Responsible for supplier performance management and continuous improvement to ensure contracts meet and exceed business objectives.
Our successful candidate:
- In-depth knowledge of Public Procurement processes and tendering methods.
- Understanding of strategic sourcing tools and techniques.
- Good, working knowledge of procurement performance measures, processes, and contracts.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
