Are you looking for a fresh, new challenge? Do you like working outside in a varied role? We are looking to expand our Medway based Urban Ranger team.

About The Role

As Urban Ranger, you will be part of a mobile frontline team that monitor and maintain public areas (such as parks, play areas and allotments) and the day to day running of the spaces. This will include the monitoring of health and safety and contractors, general cleanliness, organising repairs to site, liaising with local councillors and friends groups, communicating with and working in close partnership with Medway Council.

What are we looking for from you?

You will be expected to bring a combination of knowledge, experience and personal aptitude to the role, highlighted by:

  • Previous experience in a related field or previous play area inspections is essential for the role.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and health & safety guidelines, including environmental management
  • Good IT knowledge and the ability to learn new packages and programmes
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable and confident when dealing with members of the public
  • Able to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team
  • A Full Driving License to meet the travel requirements of the role
  • Excellent organisation skills with good time management
  • As well as playground inspections, you will also have responsibility for multiple Urban Sites.

This position is being offered on a permanent contract working 37 hours per week, over 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm.
