South West Norse represents the highly successful joint venture partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, providing a range of facilities management and contract services across the South West. We have a fantastic career opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join our well-equipped cleaning team based in Exeter.
For this role, you will be responsible for the management of allocated contracts to ensure that they meet quality performance and operational targets set by the Area Manager. Alongside using your leadership capabilities, you will also establish and maintain first class individual working relationships with our client base and colleagues.
You will further be responsible for:
- Management of onsite teams to deliver services and perform tasks as set out in the SLA, to include cleaning, compliance, and waste control.
- Provide hands on cleaning or caretaking cover when required to meet business needs, including occasions where suitable daily cover arrangements cannot be secured.
- To support the recruitment and appointment of caretaking and cleaning staff in consultation with Area Manager and clients.
- Ensure cleaning teams are adequately trained and competent in order to achieve the required standards of performance, flexibility, and safety.
- Ensure all relevant legislation, codes of practice, and Norse Group Policies are conformed to.
Our Successful Candidate
We are looking for a talented individual that possesses extensive experience and knowledge of FM Soft Services as well as an ambition to develop within a national organisation. We are further looking for you to demonstrate:
- Experience managing a large cleaning team
- Experience in managing and liaising with subcontractors
- Fully conversant with Health & Safety legislation
- Able to influence others in a range of situations and work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Our Offer
- A competitive salary of £37,003.20 per annum
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
