Norse Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) are the waste and refuse management function for Norse Group, providing a full collection service across the local region. As we continue to deliver our frontline waste and recycling services across East Anglia, we are looking to recruit a Lead Advisor for our Dereham Recycling Centre. This position is being offered on a full time, permanent contract working 35 hours per week.
A full UK Driving Licence is required for this role.
The role:
- In this role you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the day to day operations of the centre runs smoothly and efficiently.
- This is a public facing role where you will be engaging with members of the public whilst delivering services where you will be helping advise on disposal of waste and ensuring the site is always safe and tidy.
Our ideal candidate:
- Whilst previous experience in a similar waste collection or disposal role would be ideal, we are happy to offer full training to the right person, as long as you can demonstrate:
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate at all levels.
- Hold or be willing to attain the Level 4 WAMITAB COTC qualification through NEWS's training provider.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Have knowledge of waste recycling.
- Have experience dealing with the general public.
