Our multi-disciplined teams provide a number of property services to our clients, undertaking a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, and educational of varying size and complexity, resulting in innovative, sustainable and commercially viable delivery.
The Graduate Civil Engineer will be responsible for assisting senior colleagues in the day-to-day activities to learn the new technologies, systems and procedures and to gain experience in their use, gradually taking on more responsibility commensurate with level of competence gained.
Main Responsibilities:- Liaise with the civil engineering team to plan workload and resource.
- Completion of the Planned Programme to agreed cost and time targets.
- Support the delivery of high quality management and delivery of projects and programmes to the required quality, cost and agreed timescales.
- Achieve successful client relationships.
- Ensure that clients receive the best professional advice by liaison with clients, heads of establishment and end users.
- Maintain good quality project files and records; update systems and financial reports.
- Responsible for identifying new business opportunities.
- Fee earning at 90%, and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
- This role requires frequent travel to other offices and sites as required.
- Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
- Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos.
- Experience in a similar or related role.
- Graduate membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
- Degree or equivalent in an Engineering related discipline.
- Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain one.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for our successful candidate, payment will be met by the employer.
