Geo-Environmental Engineer required at NPLNorwich, Norfolk - NR1 2SGSalary starting at Β£37,241.45 per annum - Negotiable dependent on experienceMonday to Friday40 hours per weekNorfolk Partnership Laboratory (NPL) provide an experienced testing and consultancy service to the construction industry, performing a wide range of tests both onsite and at the laboratory, offering specialist advice to our clients.We are currently recruiting for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join the laboratory team based at County Hall in Norwich. This opportunity is available on a permanent basis, working 40 hours per week.As Geoenvironmental Engineer you will design, implement and consult on a range of work programmes for external clients, including engineering solutions and conducting testing.Utilising your previous experience, you will plan and conduct a wide array of Geoenvironmental investigations.Alongside this you will also:

  • Analyse your findings and compose reports to be reviewed by the Lead Engineer.
  • Develop proposals, determine costs and schedules for investigations, and
  • Entering data using geotechnical software, allowing you to produce logs and other associated outputs
  • Prepare CAD drawings for investigations, design and reporting

Our Successful Candidate will have extensive previous experience within Geoenvironmental Engineering, also demonstrating:

  • Previous experience in factual report writing as well as providing expert recommendations
  • Geoenvironment Engineering / Engineering Geology or similar qualification
  • Professional membership of an appropriate professional body, and willing to obtain chartered status
  • Strong communicator, with excellent verbal and written skills
