Cleaner/Caretaker required at Payhembury Primary School, Honiton, Devon - EX14 3HT.

£12.46/hour, equivalent to £25,916.80 pro rata (based on a 40 hour working week).

20 hours per week, during term-time (7 hours cleaning, 13 hours caretaking), Monday to Friday, AM shifts. Caretaking all year round, Cleaning during Term-Time only.

South West Norse is a FM provider delivering support services to businesses across cleaning and facilities management disciplines across the region. We currently have a great opportunity for a Caretaker / Cleaner to join our established teams on a permanent, part-time basis.

Role Duties:

  • As a Caretaker, you will be working on-site under the direction of an area supervisor, ensuring the site and grounds are cleaned and maintained to contractual standards.
  • You will be responsible for equipment and products used in carrying out your role, including inventory and safe storage.
  • As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for carrying out day to day routine and ad-hoc cleaning services as defined by the Cleaning Supervisor, ensuring that the necessary standards are met and operating in line with Client and Norse Policies and Procedures.
  • This position will also hold further site management duties, and you will be expected to support with general maintenance issues as well as some minor handyman duties.

Your Experience:

  • If you have previously worked within a similar role then this would be advantageous; however, at Norse we can offer full training and support for enthusiastic individuals if you can demonstrate:
  • Capable of delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Confident working both on your own and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with the client.
  • Comfortable engaging with members of the public.
  • Any knowledge of health & safety guidelines relevant to the role would be an advantage.
