Working as a Quality Advisor in the Quality Team within a thriving SHEQ Department supporting the UK’s leading Local Authority Trading Organisation, you will be helping to deliver new & existing quality systems, support and advice across the Norse Group, ensuring that our products and services meet all regulatory & certification standards relating to ISO9001:2015.
The role
As a team of 3 Quality Advisors reporting to the Group Quality Manager, you will be working closely together, supporting around 30 business areas at locations across the UK. Building effective communication channels and collaborative partnerships to ensure business areas maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Your collaboration will be key in identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and providing support to all employees and fostering strong connections to help create a consistent and exceptional support service across all locations.
You will understand the need to work with a variety of diverse scopes within the Group and be able to tailor your working practices to suit.
- Retaining of our ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 certifications
- Ensuring business area compliance with the Company’s integrated management systems.
- Adhering to and promoting ISO and regulatory compliance across business areas.
- Advising and supporting business areas to develop and improve all quality processes and procedures.
- Using promoting and supporting the SHEQ systems Platform.
- Collaborating with all SHEQ disciplines as needed to support ISO integrated 9001, 14001, and 45001 certification audits.
- Liaising with Audit team to enable timely support to business areas to assist with minor and major non-conformance closure.
- Providing active support for SHEQ Team projects and initiatives.
Skills and Competencies
- Previous experience in a quality advisor or quality support role (Essential)
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead auditor certification (Advantageous). Prepared to achieve if not already held.
- Knowledge of ISO standards 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 (advantageous).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and TEAMS (Essential)
- Experience communicating with stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and communication skills both written and verbal
- Effective planning skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
- Driving License
- Positive, Proactive and Perceptive
- Self-motivated
- Dependable team player
- Competent and confident to travel to various locations across the UK using pool vehicles with occasional overnight stays.
