Apprentice Administrator required at Wiltshire Norse

Β£16,640 per annum

Wiltshire Norse has entered a new joint venture partnership with Wiltshire Council to operate the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Calne, Wiltshire. We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Administrator to join the Wiltshire Norse team based at the MRF. As an Apprentice Administrator, you will benefit from structured in-house development, valuable firsthand experience, and the opportunity to complete a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. This role is designed to support your professional development with the aim of progressing to a fully qualified Business Administrator.

Role Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the operational teams.
  • Maintaining and updating relevant systems, including investigating, and correcting errors or exceptions.
  • Resolving queries promptly and efficiently, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Processing and inputting data accurately, including assisting with the resolution of payroll-related queries.
  • Supporting compliance with Health and Safety procedures and requirements.
  • Raising and issuing purchase orders for works and services as required.
  • Responding to requests for information from clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports, documentation, and other administrative records.
  • Providing general office and administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the site.

Our Successful Candidate

  • Applicants must be aged 18 years or over to comply with legal requirements associated with working at this site.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent time management able to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to produce accurate written documentation to specification.
  • Previous experience in a business administration role, whether commercially or through work experience.
