We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Area Manager to join our team! The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible and varied working schedule. The Role: As our Area Manager, you will play a vital role in representing the company and ensuring our cleaning teams consistently deliver the high-quality service our clients expect. You will lead and support a team of supervisors and cleaners, overseeing operational performance and maintaining the highest standards of service across your area. In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, maintaining strong client relationships, and fostering the development of your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the contracted cleaning provision at various sites across South Yorkshire, including educational establishments
  • Monitor and ensure the highest standards of cleaning services are consistently delivered
  • Lead, train, and motivate cleaning supervisors and staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Resolve site staff disciplinary and grievance issues as required, undertaking disciplinary investigations and hearings as well as sickness and absence monitoring
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor performance, address client concerns, and ensure compliance with safety and cleaning standards
  • Work with other internal teams to manage scheduling, stock, and equipment maintenance
  • Ensure adequate provision of sickness, holiday and vacancy cover for site staff in an efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Attend monthly meetings with senior management to report on performance and challenges

Our Successful Candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, ideally in the cleaning industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
  • Full UK driving license as company van is provided
  • Flexibility to travel between sites as needed
