Our Norse TFM division are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our FM team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As the Maintenance Assistant you will be responsible for supporting engineers with compliance inspections, repairs, scheduled minor works, urgent reactive jobs and projects. Working predominantly with one customer, you will be an integral part of Norse building its reputation with this client for reliability, customer service, communication and quality. Ideally you will have building maintenance experience and be willing to learn with the engineers providing a wide range of minor repairs including plumbing, carpentry, floor and wall tiling, painting, lamp replacement, plaster, ceiling grids, locks, barriers, glazing. You will also be happy to work in a team environment as the maintenance schedules are all for two operatives. To work at height (MEWP training will be given if required) for lamp replacement and other high level jobs that may be required. Work effectively and efficiently in a client specific team. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and the engineers and adapt to their differing requirements. Work with the works coordinators, management and customers to ensure business requirements are met.

Our Successful Candidate

We are looking for a motivated individual that possesses previous maintenance experience within a commercial environment. Alongside this, we are seeking for you to display:

  • Experience within a maintenance role ideally in the retail sector
  • Experience of using a MEWP (Training will be given)
  • Experience of commercial plant & equipment including operational checks
  • Confident working in a team or on your own.
  • Full UK driving licence - Travel is required and may include overtime and overnight stays.
