Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:30pm
Norse Group has entered a new joint venture partnership with Calderdale Council to deliver waste and recycling services across the borough. This partnership will start from August 2026 and span over an initial period of eight years. We have an excellent opportunity for an HGV Technician to join our depot in Halifax. Our workshop is kitted out with all new equipment to work on the new fleet of vehicles servicing the local area.
The role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the company fleet of HGV vehicles ensuring all vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired in accordance with Operators Licence requirements. You will also prepare vehicles for annual tests, road test vehicles to certify roadworthiness and attend breakdowns on a rota system. This is an exciting role for an experienced fitter looking to develop and share their expertise with a knowledgeable team.
Our ideal candidate
- NVQ L3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent.
- Ideally you will hold an HGV Licence
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards required for HGV operation.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety and its impact in vehicle repair operations.
- Experience in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of all types of large and small commercial vehicles.
