Barnsley Norse are currently recruiting for a Mobile Caretaker to work on various sites throughout South Yorkshire. As the Caretaker, you will ensure that the school buildings and associated sites are maintained to the highest of standards, providing a clean and safe environment for all on site. In addition to securing the site, you will be responsible for all day to day maintenance, ensuring the building is in a good state of repair and works are planned around its service users.
To provide caretaking services to internal and external customers as scheduled by management. Includes but not limited to:
- Provide caretaking services to internal and external customers including schools and council buildings as scheduled by management
- Undertake removals of furniture and equipment as part of office/site relocations as well as removal of rubbish
- Identify and prioritise own workload in relation to first line repairs and maintenance of the building and associated sites
- Required to drive the services fleet of vehicles as the service requires
- Transport cleaning machinery, materials, buffets and other supplies to various sites around the borough as and when requested
- Provide cover for other business areas
- Undertake basic repairs and maintenance as required
