Norse Groups Support Services Division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join the Procurement team on a full time, permanent basis, this will be based at our Head Office, Unity Place.
The role
As the Senior Buyer, you will be leading end-to-end procurement and tendering activities for Alliance Norse, delivering compliant and value-driven sourcing solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
The role manages procurement projects from concept through to contract award.
You will joina well-established and collaborative Procurement team, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager and working alongside three experienced Senior Buyers who support other areas of the Norse Group.
The team promotes knowledge sharing, professional development and mutual support, providing an excellent environment in which to develop expertise, contribute to business success and make a tangible impact.
- To develop and implement Norse Group sourcing and procurement category plans for Alliance Norse.
- To run and manage full public sector tendering processes via Find a Tender Service FTS.
- Ensure spend and procurement processes are compliant with the Procurement Act 2023.
- Supplier engagement; selection, evaluation, contracting and ongoing management.
- Implementation of initiatives, through effective program and project management.
- Provide regular market analysis for key spend areas, benchmark data and supplier evaluation, to support procurement planning and risk management.
- Focus and presence balanced between Procurement Team and Alliance Norse (Buxton) to ensure effective integration, delivery and pro-active development of stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee supplier performance management and continuous improvement to ensure contracts meet and exceed business objectives.

- Understanding of strategic s ourcing tools and techniques.
- Good, working knowledge of procurement performance measures, processes, and contracts.
- Full UK Driving Licence.- (Travel once a month to our Buxton office)
